Our mission is to deliver  patient-centered care that meets your needs with compassion and excellence

Parkview Medical Group was founded to provide a solution to the increasing difficulty many people face when they need to access general practice care – even those registered with a GP. Increasingly, patients are having to book in with whoever is available at their practice, rather than having a dedicated GP who is familiar with their history and needs. At Parkview Medical Group your appointment will always be with your chosen GP.

Unlike other practices, we are a fully private service. This means we can deliver responsive and personalised attention for patients without the constraints of government funding. We are not part of a corporate health group and are proudly 100% New Zealand owned and operated. There’s no app to download and no enrolment required – just compassionate care in whatever way works best for you.

You do not need to be enrolled with us to see one of our doctors. In fact, our online Doctors on Call service can be accessed by anyone across Aotearoa New Zealand (whether you are a resident or an overseas visitor).
Please note:
Some of our specialist services, such as the Pain Clinic, require a referral and cannot be booked online.

Your Privacy is Our Priority

Your medical information is managed with your consent, ensuring transparency and trust in every consultation.

We are happy to communicate with your enrolled GP if you have one and would like us to. As we do not enroll patients, you can remain with your current GP with whom you have continuity of care, and with your permission, we can advise them of our interaction. Or if you prefer, the notes from your consultation will stay only with us. How your medical information is shared and managed is entirely over to you.

  • Can you access my records?

As we do not enrol patients, we will never request your notes from your GP, however, you are entitled to your own records and may wish to bring these along to your appointments to help guide our discussions.

Our GPs, with your permission, can also access some of your health information through regional medical systems and will always seek permission before doing so. This can give us a lot of information around prescriptions you get, any recent blood tests you have had, clinic letters from the hospital etc.

Private letters cannot be accessed in this way, so if you have seen any specialists in private, we suggest having copies of these on hand, if needed for our discussions.
